I  become a Vibrams Five Fingers Barefoot Minimalist fan since July of 2011. I am not the sporty and athletic kind of person like most of VFF users but I fell in love with this type of shoes or socks as VFF-haters call it. Last September 2011, I bought my second pair and declared VFF as my feet’s BFF. I read and followed posts, blogs, researches, statistics and forums on their official fan site at www.myfivefingers.com. Like their page on Facebook and followed them on Twitter (@MyFiveFingers).

From time to time, they encourage VFF users and other barefoot minimalist to send them cool pictures on just about everything while having fun wearing VFF. I send a couple of photos and was luckily selected. Not just one but two pictures as a matter of fact!

It’s been weeks since I was thinking of getting my second pair . A week ago , I had been on a short holiday with my hubby. VFF’s Treksports did an awesome job to my feet with all the walking that I have been doing.

One morning, while I was getting dressed to go for the day , I was uncomfortable with the Treksports…not on how my feet feels but how it matched with my denim skirt and girly top. So I switched to wearing my regular flats to match. At the end of the day , My feet is screaming of HELP!.. my toes are sore and I can see that walking an inch further and my soles will never escape the thing called blisters.

I was complaining about it to my hubby and he told me, “What’s wrong with your toe shoes? Why were you not wearing them today?” I answered him about not feeling comfortable matching it with my skirt and girly top. Well , I can really count on my husband  to make me feel better , with that he said “Maybe they have a model that would perhaps match some of your clothes? Those toe shoes of yours make your legs look sexy!” …. Uhuh! That’s it! Decision is made. I actually have the models of VFF that I am wishing to get. Too bad Performa Jane is still not available here in Philippines . So , I got Sprint , compared to Performa Jane , I can do more outdoor activity with Sprint.

So, who says you can’t be friends with fashion when you have toe shoes on?

I may not be a bit of a runner like the pros , But I love walking and I walk a lot. Lately (and hopefully over the years to come ), I am living a life that made me to travel. My feet just get lucky to find a best friend in the name of Vibram’s Five Fingers Barefoot Minimalist Shoes.
